Ayesha Omer Apologizes For Her controversial T-shirt
Dear Fans and Friends! there is an issue being created about a certain "controversial" T-shirt that a character is seen wearing in Hum-Tv Drama Channel's New play "Zindagi Gulzar Hai". That Character called Saara, is being played by me so automatically everyone is blaming me for wearing this t-shirt and trying to make fun of Islam and Jihad. Let me clarify to you all that i'm not the one responsible for this. This particular t-shirt was gifted to me by a friend and its a very comfortable soft t-shirt so i only wear it around the house and i would never use it as a statement or to poke fun at anything! when i came to work, wearing this t-shirt under a jacket, from my house, i asked the director if i should change it before starting the first scene, but she told me to go ahead and keep wearing it, as it was just a funny cartoony image and didnt mean anything. she didnt realise what was written on it and neither did i! so i ended up wearing it. I am just a regular young person like a lot of you, out there, who dont realise the consequences and repercussions of doing anything and are learning everyday from our mistakes! But older experienced individuals know way more than us and its their job to check everything and teach us or guide us, which they are trying their best to do...but we all slip up once in a while as we are all humans! i guess its just a careless mistake on all our parts! If you guys still think that i am to blame, then i extend my sincerest apologies to all those whose sentiments have been hurt. i am extremely SORRY for this mistake and will make sure i am careful in the future about what i wear and project! i love my religion and i wish you all did too! i wish you all projected our beautiful religion in a positive light as a message of peace(which is what our Beloved Prophet(PBUH) has asked us to do as well) Islam does not mean taking innocent lives along with your own or judging others and giving gaalis to whoever we want, like most of you do! we have no authority to judge others! we can point out something if we feel its wrong, but we cant insult and abuse others, like most of you do. Allah will judge us, so leave His job to Him plz. those of you who cuss at others publicly should be ashamed of yourselves! what would your mothers say? is this what you have been taught? Is this Islam? look at your own selves and please try to read the Holy Quran with translation to find out how to be good Muslims! i have acknowledged my mistake.. once
again, my sincerest apologies! love and regards, Ayesha
