Celebrity Weddings 2012: Pakistani Stars who got married this year
2012 was a very fortunate year for Pakistani Celebrities and Showbiz related people. The year brought happiness and prosperity for seven couples at least. Though the year’s starting didn't bring anything new but it ended well with two great Celebrity Weddings. Want to know who the seven lucky couples were? 1. Sadia Imam and Haider:
Their wedding took place during October (exact date isn’t known). Not much is known about the couple but a source suggests that the Nikkah ceremony had taken place before someday. However Rukhasti was in October. The couple moved to Germany (according to the source). We don’t know if the facts are true or not but one thing we know is that after the Wedding, Sadia Iman was seen wearing hijab which probably hinted that she wanted to get on with her new husband and wanted to prove herself a good house wife.
2. Atiqa Odho and Samar Ali Khan:
The couple got married on June 8, 2012. This was also a big event; Atiqa Odho chose Samar Ali Khan as her life partner. Samar Ali is among the founding members of PTI and is an architect by profession. Their wedding ceremony was attended by so many politicians & showbiz people.
The couple also appeared in morning shows and gave interviews about their wedding talking how this all happened and what the upcoming years would be like.
3. Kanwar Arsalan & Fatima Effendi
Their Nikkah ceremony took place on 17th November, 2012. The couple also did two drama serials together “Larkiyan Mohalle ki” and “Kash Main Teri Beti Na Hoti”. Their wedding was also a blast and created much buzz in the showbiz industry of Pakistan.
Their Nikaah was a big event, but the Rukhsati ceremony will take place sometime in 2013.
4. Kiran Chaudhary and Riaz Amlani
Their wedding took place on 23rd December, 2012. This marriage ceremony was the biggest of all as it was attended by almost all the people belonging to Pakistan’s fashion as well as drama & music industry. The second factor that makes this wedding big is that Kiran Chaudhary got married to Riaz Amlani, who is actually a restaurateur living in Mumbai, India. The groom is considered one of the rising young entrepreneurs in India. Their Valima ceremony was attended by many Indian celebs. Kiran Chaudhary was seen wearing a red lehnga on the wedding day and Riaz Amlani wore Golden Sherwani.
5. Azfar Ali and Naveen Waqar
The couple got married on 23rd August, 2012. Well! The event was pretty unexpected to everyone as Azfar was a father of two before this wedding. We can’t say anything about Salma (his ex-wife) but most of the people showed anger towards this wedding.
In the months before wedding, sources suggested that the couple (Azfar and Salma) will soon break up and after sometime the news got real. The couple was married for a time span of 9 years and on 23rd July, this heart breaking news made everyone shocked. Azfar married to Naveen Waqar who is a popular television person and has worked as an RJ and VJ as well.
6. Annie Khalid and Malik Noureed
Annie Khalid and Malik Noureed Awan’s wedding ceremony took place on 15th July this year in Lahore. Malik Noureed Awan is a UAE based businessman and Annie Khalid is one of the renown female singers of Pakistan. Their wedding ceremony was a big event but some unusual things happened which resulted in making some bad headlines. The groom got arrested that day for not following Punjab Government’s law. Moreover, the bride also got hospitalized that day because of the quarrel that took place between Malik Noureed Awan’s relatives and Government officials but she got back safe to the event.
These days, some conflicts are being observed between the couple as they are accusing each other. The couple doesn’t seem to be happy and even their divorce rumors started coming up. No one knows what is going on between the two families but we pray that everything gets alright and the couple becomes as happy as it was before.
7. Shehroz & Syra
This wedding was one of the most awaited weddings of 2012 and it took place at the end of this year. The ceremony was held on 22nd December, 2012. On the lucky day, the couple looked really fascinating. Most of the people named it “the perfect match” and hence this Jori was appreciated among showbiz fans of every age group. In some leaked videos, the couple also be seen dancing on their Mehndi. The wedding seemed really lively and groom’s father, Behroz Sabzwari, and uncle Jawed Sheikh also performed. Shahzad Sheikh (Shehroz’s Cousin) also participated as a prominent member of family.
Many celebrities from the Showbiz world attended the ceremony including Fawad Khan, Actor Nadeem, etc. On the bride’s side, her sisters Palwasha and Alishba remained prominent. Both the bride and groom belong to families who have contributed well in Pakistan’s showbiz industry. The couple has recently shared screens in a serial named “Tanhaiyaan: Naye Silsilay” as well
